The Oswego City Police have a suspect in custody in connection to a mobile methamphetamine lab found on Sunday.
The police have not released the suspect’s name yet.
The city’s anti-crime team stopped a vehicle in the Lowe’s parking lot, off of State Route 104 at 3 p.m., a statement said.
The team found items that are commonly used in the manufacture of methamphetamine and evacuated the immediate area.
The Oswego City and the Oswego County Fire Department Hazardous Materials Response teams responded. The New York State Police Clandestine Labratories Response Teams is assisting with clean-up.
Lowe’s has remained open, but the businesses on the west side of the plaza are closed temporarily. Police have asked that the public avoid the area.
