Humans can be cute sometimes

When humans are not committing felonies like armed robbery, kidnapping or homicide, they have more appropriate habits that can be perceived as cute.

The following traditions, habits and tendencies are what makes a human being value life.

Birthdays: One of the most popular things to celebrate is your birthday. It is a social event, perhaps a small gathering, in which your family and friends celebrate the day you were born and how many years you have been around. Birthdays usually involve cake, decorations and presents, too.

Rocks: Rocks have little to no value by themselves, but humans have managed to take these inanimate objects and add meaning to them. From collecting rocks by the lake shore to painting them, putting them in our gardens and giving them to others as gifts, rocks have become symbolic of the little things that nature has to offer.

Television and music: Ever since the electronic television was invented in 1927, humans have taken fulfillment in watching other human scenarios on screen. Although the situations are not happening in real life, we still crave to relate to others’ experiences through these various creative outlets, like film, music and novels.

Culinary arts:  Humans, like all living things, need some sort of food source to survive. Although we can technically hunt or fish for our source of protein, humans prefer to have their fish prepped, cooked, breaded and served with delicious sides on a plate. The presentation of our food before we consume it somehow makes it a better experience, which humans value completely.

Holding hands: Humans show various forms of affection towards their loved ones. Whether it is our children or a significant other, or even platonic friendships, we tend to crave physical affection in order to show one another how we feel about them. Holding hands is one of the cutest displays of this, which we hold close to our hearts.

Fashion: There are various elements of fashion which all humans partake in. The most obvious one being clothing. We purchase and put together outfits every day, which reflect on our personal aesthetics. We also care a great deal about what to wear for specific occasions, such as interviews, parties or school. Along with clothing, humans additionally make other stylistic choices that in any other case would not matter, except to please ourselves and others. For example, we choose to create different hairstyles and paint our nails, just because we can.

Relationships with wildlife: Adopting animals as pets is probably the cutest thing that we do as humans. Animals cannot speak to us, but we create the most unbreakable bonds with them. We take them on walks, purchase beds and toys specifically to make them happy and we take time to find the perfect name for them. The idea of having pets gives us a sense of purpose. Another habit that some humans acquire is bringing bugs back outside when we see them roaming arou

nd indoors. We want to protect them from danger, which is so sweet.

Without these simplistic, aesthetically pleasing activities, celebrations and relationships, what are we doing other than working and surviving? The answer is, we would not be truly living life to the fullest. Not having these little things would make life pointless.
