Players to Watch

OSWEGO STATE: Katie Delgrosso

The sophomore forward tallied 2 goals over the course of her freshman season and has already reached that mark in her first game of her 2nd season with the Lakers. The Pearl River, New York native will be a player to keep an eye on when the ball enters the offensive third of the field. The Lakers will need to continue to keep that offensive machine rolling into their second contest of the season and this is a player that can find a corner behind the netminder.

SUNY CANTON: Skylar Williams

The SUNY Canton netminder returns for her second campaign with the program after starting most of the contests her freshman year. The Chili, New York native made 12 saves in the lost versus SUNY Potsdam. Williams needs to quarterback the defense and have another stellular afternoon in between the pipes if the Kangaroos want to find the win column in Oswego.

Prediction and Final Thoughts

The Oswego State squad will look to continue the success but this time with home field advantage. The Lakers offense has shown its strength early this season, but the defense will be essential in making sure the Kangaroos stay off the box score. For the away team, finding the back of the net early and for the first time this season would but a wrinkle in Oswego State’s Saturday afternoon plans. The Kangaroos defensive core has a tough task ahead of them if the offensive Lakers can keep picking corners.

Prediction: Oswego State 4-0
