The Oswego State men’s hockey won over Buffalo State on Friday night in a 3-2 game. The Lakers now improve to 14-9-1 (11-3-1 SUNYAC), while the Bengals sit at 11-11-2 (7-7-1 SUNYAC) on the season.

Pre-game

• Steven Kozikoski got the starting nod for Oswego State after getting the second game against Morrisville State off. He has a 4-1-1 record with one shutout.
• Emil Norrman was the starting goaltender for Buffalo State and entered the game with 6-6-0 record with one shutout.

• Alex DiCarlo, at the left circle, gets a snipe past Norrman with 11:05 remaining in the period to give Oswego State a 3-0 lead. Assist went to Anthony Passero.
• Mitch Emerson and Braeden Doust both went to the box at 9:08 of the third period after a post-whistle scrum. It sent the game to 4-on-4 hockey. Both calls were for roughing.
• Charles Barber got a tip-in through the pads of Kozikoski with 9:28 remaining in the third period. Assists to Troy Button and Nikita Kozyrev. Buffalo State trails 3-1.
• Mac Lewis, with 7:33 remaining in the period, was called for kneeing, sending the Lakers to their second penalty kill of the game. The penalty was killed with no goal allowed.
• Matt Minerva with 5:07 remaining in the third period got a cross-ice pass low from Nikita Kozyrev, making it a one-goal game. 3-2 Lakers.
