Mayor Billy Barlow announced on Feb. 20 via Twitter that the street parking ban in the city of Oswego was to be immediately lifted.
Enacted at the beginning of the winter season, to permit city plows to clear the streets without damaging resident’s cars, the street parking ban required that all cars be parked off of the city streets by midnight each night between Dec. 13 and March 31, unless it is revoked earlier.
Barlow warned, in his 9 a.m. tweet announcing the end of the parking ban, that residents should pay attention to the weather forecasts, as the ban may be reinstated if snow is predicted to come to Oswego.
