Students, faculty and staff gathered to celebrate the last day of classes on May 5 for the third annual OzFest.
The office of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, the Student Association Programming Board and the Student Association organized the daytime activities for students in Swetman Gym, the Marano Campus Center Food Court and Cooper Dining Center. The daytime activities were originally planned to be outside, but due to weather the events were moved inside.
Senior Aiyana Huger participated in the OzFest activities and said she liked them.
“I really enjoyed it,” Huger said. “The activities were fun and the [African Student Organization] performance was awesome.”
Huger said her favorite event was Stuff-a-buddy because there were so many options.
In the gym, students waited in long lines to Stuff-A-Buddy, get an airbrush tattoo, rock climb, toxic drop, bungee run, participate in an obstacle course and take pictures in a photo booth.
In the Marano Campus Center Food Court, students enjoyed carnival food such as popcorn, corn dogs, fries, snow cones, soft pretzels, fresh squeezed lemonade and an ice cream bar.
There was also a campus picnic in Cooper Dining Center that featured hot dogs, ice cream, burgers and more.
DNCE and A-Boogie Wit Da Hoodie performed for a crowd at the OzFest concert at night to conclude the event.
