With the Oswego State Men’s Ice Hockey Whiteout game upon us, we were curious to see who is going to the game and what they looked forward to most about the biggest game of the year.
Marketing major, Giobanna Saulle will be attending the game and is most excited about the rivalries.
“It’s just a fun game that everyone goes to, I look forward to it,” Saulle says.
1975 was the first time the Oswego State Lakers and the Plattsburgh Cardinals met on the ice.
New students even feel the hype that this rivalry brings to our campus.

One fairly common thing that happens before the Whiteout game when tickets become available is the quick selling out. Sunday afternoon was when everyone had the opportunity to get their ticket. Senior, Cody Couihokanson was one of many who were unable to get their ticket before they sold out. He no longer will be attending the game for this reason.
But some students have other reasons for not attending Whiteout.

Senior, Julia Martin looks at Whiteout as just another Oswego State Men’s Ice Hockey game that she could go to anytime during the semester.
“It’s [Whiteout] too crowded and all the other games are just as exciting,” Martin said.
