Coming off of the most recent Election Day, we asked some students if in general, they thought voter participation among college students specifically has increased or decreased over the years? Whether it be national or local, are the people in our age range going out and supporting their local or national government by simply voting?

Wellness management major, Courtney MacEwen thinks that college student voting participation has increased, and the reason for this is because we are now more informed.
Junior, Mia Fasanella on the other hand thinks it’s decreased; basing this on the people around her.
“A lot of my friends aren’t really into politics,” Fasanella said. “I don’t really know of anyone who votes.”
Business administration major, Noah Brooks gave an identical answer to Courtney MacEwen’s saying “I do [think college students are voting more now], because we’re a lot more informed than in the past ten years.”
