Laker Gameday Preview: Dec. 6 v. Buffalo State

The Oswego State women’s basketball team will be playing their third game in five days as it takes on Buffalo State on Saturday afternoon at Max Ziel Gymnasium in Laker Hall.

The Lakers beat SUNY Fredonia on Friday night in their first SUNYAC game, 71-58. Alisha Jacobs scored 23 points in the game. The Lakers are now 2-3 on the year, 1-0 in the SUNYACs.

The Bengals head into this game with a 2-3 record and a three-game losing streak, including a 87-67 loss to SUNY Cortland last night. Olivia Luciani led the Bengals with 19 points.

Ashley Wallace, Brittnee Perry and Olivia Luciani all come into the game averaging double figures this season at 11 points each per game.

Rachael Windhausen, Alisha Jacobs and Heather Hebert all come into the game averaging double digits in scoring as well for the Lakers.

Buffalo State currently has the No. 1 scoring offense in the SUNYAC, as well as third in three-point shooting. Oswego State is fifth in the conference in scoring offense

Buffalo State has beaten Oswego State in their past seven meetings between the two teams, including a 86-49 victory last year. Ashley Wallace had 20 points for the Bengals in the game.
