Oswego State gets $2.88 million

Oswego State received $2.88 million in a federal grant to help the university improve completion rates for colleges in Upstate New York.

The grant comes from the U.S. Department of Education’s First in the World Program, which aims to fund higher education institutions to make improvements to the higher education system. The grant awarded to Oswego State is one of 24 and comes from a fund of $75 million.

Oswego State will be partnering with Onondaga Community College, Mohawk Valley Community College and On Point for College. The goal is to entice more community college students to transfer to Oswego State.
