Premier Living Suites to throw showcase party

The new off-campus option of Premier Living Suites is throwing a party at the American Foundry to showcase the housing options they have to offer for students of Oswego State. The suites will be located on the corner of Utica Street and Hillside Avenue.

On Oct. 9 at 7 p.m., the party will have free food, door prizes, raffles, music, games and much more. The owners of Premier Living Suites, Greg and Patrick Furlong, want students to meet them and other employees of Premier Living Suites in an interactive way.

“We started working on the Premier Living Suites project because we saw a need for better quality student housing; we are having this event to show the students of Oswego what we are all about and what we can offer them,” Greg Furlong said.

The complex offers 18 fully furnished suite-style apartments, a movie theater, a computer lab, a fitness center, a recreation room and a state-of-the-art security system. Included in the rent for the suites are washer and dryer fees, wireless Internet, utilities, continental breakfast, care packages for the semester, fitness classes, on-site parking, indoor bike storage, discounts at surrounding local businesses along with other amenities that are all included in the rent. The movie theater can hold up to 20 people provides residents with a 60-inch flat screen TV and DVD player.

The cost of living in these new suites is $9,490, according to the Premier Living Suites website. They offer three different types of payment options; monthly payments, whose payment up front and an option where students can pay per semester. The discount card is said to be useful at places such as Fajita Grill, Fastrac, Kraftees, Lighthouse Lanes, Mark’s Pizzeria, The Shed and many other locations.

The company is offering to the first 20 individuals to sign a lease for next year by Oct. 15, 2012 a free iPad or tablet, which will be ready for them when they move in.

The construction of the suite building is underway, with the basement and foundation set. The modular units for the 30,000-square-foot building are scheduled to be installed this month. Once they arrive, the building owners say it will only take a week for the building to be set up.

Anyone who wishes to attend the event must register by calling (315) 593-2270 or email info@plsuites.com. Applications for the suites can be found online at plsuites.com.
