Graduation is just around the corner for many of you and with the uncertainty of the job market and the high cost of perusing higher education, and it is causing anxiety. For those of you who still have time left, the situation isn’t much better.

With the high price of gas as well as the rising cost of everything else, Obama and the left will have you believe that they understand your plight. Do they?

Larry Conners, with St. Louis’ KMOV, told President Obama the American people are upset with the jet setting tendencies of the First Family, especially when so many are struggling to make ends meet. Conners stated, “Some of our viewers are complaining, they get frustrated, even angered, when they see the first family jetting around…that you’re out of touch, that you don’t really know what they’re experiencing right now.”

President Obama responded pompously, “Well, I don’t know how many viewers you’re talking about that say that.” Really, how many? That is what he wants to know. Somehow the amount is important.

Obama went on to sharply state, “The fact of the matter is, I think if you look at my track record, I’m raising a family here. When we travel, we got to travel through Secret Service, and Air Force One, that’s not my choice. I think most folks understand how hard I work and how hard this administration is working on behalf of the American people.”

Obama has been working hard to destroy our nation. His executive orders have stripped away our liberties. He has shredded the Constitution. Obama has raised the deficit higher than all previous presidents combined. He has undermined the Key Stone Pipeline that would have lowered energy prices and the unemployment numbers. In terms of foreign policy, we are a joke. Is this really working hard? What about his administration?

The Obama administration is working hard for the American people. Just look at the General Services Administration (GSA), who had used taxpayer money to party in Vegas. Jeffrey Neely, a GSA official who allegedly helped spend hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars on a lavish “training conference” in Las Vegas in 2010, pleaded the Fifth Amendment when questioned during the congressional hearings.

The Secret Service, another part of the Obama administration that is working hard, was caught in a scandal which involved a prostitute and a $47 stiff. According to an article in the New York Post, by Geoff Earle in Washington D.C. and Don Kaplan in N.Y., “The woman was one of 11 hookers hired by the agents — and the only one who hadn’t left Cartagena’s swank Hotel Caribe, where White House staffers, members of the press and dignitaries are staying during the Summit of the Americas meeting, sources said.” Just another government agency, working hard, employed by Obama and paid for by the taxpayer. Just a few examples of many.

Despite the scandal, Obama maintained his arrogance when interviewed in Columbia, he stated, “We’re having a wonderful time. And usually when I take these summit trips, part of my job is to scout out where I may want to bring Michelle back later for vacation. So we’ll make sure to come back sometime in the near future.” Another vacation?

Paul Bedard of the Washington Examiner reported in his column, February 21, 2012, that the Obama’s had taken 16 extended vacations since he took office. The Obama Hawaii Christmas vacation cost the taxpayer $4 million. His wife spent $10,000 a night while vacationing in Spain. On President’s Day she and her two daughters went on a Vale ski trip. This is all funded by the taxpayer. It would not be an issue if Obama was paying for them out of his own pocket; however, it is on the taxpayer. Obama and his wife are living the highlife and we are paying for it.

It is not just the vacations and golf trips; it is the elaborate parties he throws at the White House. Every Wednesday night there is an outrageous party with all the trimmings and celebrity guests and the taxpayer is funding it.

When I have to sacrifice just to make ends meet, I find it utterly offensive that this president can flaunt his excursions and lavish lifestyle that is being paid for by us.

So who is out of touch with the American people? Don’t be fooled. We can’t afford another four years.
