Brockport Golden Eagles 7        Nichols Bison 3

Saratoga Springs Ice Rink (Attendance: 215)

Tied at two after two periods, the College at Brockport tallied five goals in the third period en route to a 7-3 victory over Nichols College in the Skidmore Invitational Consolation Game. James Cody netted a hat trick and Troy Pollino scored twice for the Golden Eagles. Nichols jumped out to a two-goal lead after two power-play goals, but Brockport rallied with four unanswered goals on two power-play goals, a shorthanded goal and an even strength goal. Andrew Ella cut the Golden Eagle to one , but the Golden Eagles sealed the victory with the game’s final three goals. The two teams combined for 25 penalties and 96 penalty minutes. Each team scored twice on the power play.

#3 Castleton Spartans 4         Morrisville State Mustangs 3

Spartan Arena (Attendance: 745)

Ryan Frost netted the game-winning goal at 10:42 of the third period to give Castleton a 4-3 victory in the Rutland Invitational Championship Game. Nick Lazorko netted a hat trick and assisted on Frost’s game-winning goal for the Spartans, who remain undefeated so far this season. The Spartans withstood two goals from Morrisville’s Matthew Beer, who tied the game at three on the power play at 9:01 of the third period. The Mustangs committed 12 penalties for 46 minutes, leading to two power-play goals. Thomas Shelley made 21 saves for Castleton.

Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds 3        Buffalo State Bengals 1

Arrington Ice Arena (Attendance: 148)

Wisconsin-Eau Claire captured the Adrian Tournament Championship, receiving goals from three different players en route to a 3-1 victory over Buffalo State. Ross Andersen scored at 1:55 of the first period and the Blugolds added two goals in the second period by Jimmy McCusker and Isaiah Bennis. Justin Knee scored the lone goal for the Bengals in the third period. Brandon Stephenson made 18 saves for the Blugolds and Kevin Carr finished with 25 saves for the Bengals.
