Shortie Says – 11/20/09

Shortie,
My friends are always making jokes about cunnilingus. I always laugh along, but still have no idea what it means.
-Giggling Gary

Giggling Gary,
Cunnilingus means performing oral sex on a female. Other like terms that you might be able to impress your friends with include fellatio and analingus. Fellatio is oral sex performed on a male and analingus is oral sex performed on the anus of either males or females.

Shortie,
My partner and I want to be super safe during intercourse. We want to prevent any chance of unwanted pregnancy. Is it safe to use two condoms at one time?
-Cautious

Dear Cautious,
Using two condoms at the same time is not recommended for either safer sex or pregnancy prevention. What is known as "double-bagging" can increase the friction between the condoms during intercourse, making them more likely to rip or tear. You should consider using a back-up method of contraception, such as birth control pills, contraceptive ring or patch, a diaphragm or a cervical cap used in conjunction with a condom. Do not use a female and male condom together. The only way to stay 100 percent pregnancy and STD free is abstinence. The second way to prevent both pregnancy and STD’s is condoms. Contraceptives such as birth control may aid in the prevention of pregnancy; however, you are still engaging in unprotected sex and there is no protection against STD’s.
